TURKISH
CHEMICAL SOCIETY
The
Society accepts chemists, chemical engineers, chemistry teachers, chemical
technicians and, although their specializations are different, those who are
working in a chemistry-related places.
Turkish
Chemical Society represents Turkey in International Union of Pure and Applied
Chemistry (IUPAC), European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences
(EuCheMS), and Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS), which are most
important unions in the world. By membership to these organizations, our
members can join their actions as preferred and privileged ones, in the working
groups, they can collaborate with their colleagues.
TCS
Young Chemists’ Platform, which accepts chemistry students or graduates under
35 years of age, has around 5000 members. This sub-organization regulates free
of charge certificate education programmes, panel discussions, conferences, and
some other activities.
The
Society owns three scholarly peer-reviewed e-journals, namely Journal of the
Turkish Chemical Society, Section A: Chemistry (JOTCSA), Journal of the Turkish
Chemical Society, Section B: Chemical Engineering (JOTCSB), and Journal of the
Turkish Chemical Society, Section C: Chemical Education (JOTCSC). There are
also two popular magazines and 34 books (presently). All of them are dedicated
to the members of the Society free of charge.
